2026 Taiwan STM: Day 1

Dear all,
Praise the Lord for the safe arrival of our team members!
Since yesterday, our STM team members have been traveling to Chiayi from various parts of the world. Mission Deacons TC (TM) and Katharine (MM) joined me for lunch yesterday with 15 seminary students who received our scholarship this year. Many of them brought their spouses and children, ranging from 2-year-olds to teenagers. We had a wonderful time getting to know them and hearing how God has called and equipped them for ministry.
By last night, 17 team members had arrived in Chiayi, and we enjoyed dinner together. This morning, another 13 arrived safely at Beirong Church, and we look forward to welcoming the remaining five tomorrow morning.
Today we had the opportunity to meet some of our ministry partners from Beirong Church, as well as all the crew leaders from the Taichung Hagay District, the churches we served in the second week of last year's mission trip. We also learned that several schools in Chiayi are still in session today—and even tomorrow! As a result, our full crew won't be together until tomorrow evening.
Although this was an unexpected change, God gave us a productive day. We practiced all of the VBS songs, made crew signs, and continued preparing for the week ahead. Our crew leaders are getting to know one another and building friendships, while our station leaders finalized supplies and lesson plans and even began decorating the classrooms.
We would greatly appreciate your prayers for:
- Safe travel from the U.S. to Chiayi tomorrow morning for Matt, Jessie, Abigail, and Andrew.
- All coworkers from Beirong Church to be able to join our training by tomorrow evening.
- Deeper relationships and unity among coworkers from Canaan, Beirong, and the Hagay District.
- A smooth and successful dress rehearsal.

Thank you for following our updates and for faithfully praying for us. We are grateful for your partnership in this ministry.
Blessings,
Jenny
