2026 Taiwan STM: Day 7
Dear all,
VBS Day 5 went smoothly, and we completed this week's Rainforest Falls VBS program. Praise the Lord!
As Typhoon BAVI approached Taiwan, many cities announced work and school closures. Had Chiayi City made the same decision today, we would have had no choice but to cancel VBS Day 5. Thankfully, Chiayi City remained open, allowing us to complete the camp as planned and teach our students this important lesson: God is forever.
Throughout today, we reflected on the eternal nature of God's kingdom and the eternal impact we can have as we serve these students with Christ's love and kindness.
After the closing program, our team quickly restored all the classrooms and removed most of the decorations in the worship hall before enjoying a wonderful celebration dinner together. Tomorrow morning, we will finish restoring the worship hall, hold our final debrief meeting, and depart from Beirong Church after lunch. We've also confirmed that Taiwan High Speed Rail will operate on a modified schedule tomorrow, so we are praying that everyone will reach their destinations safely.
Please pray for the following:
- That we will wrap up the Taiwan STM smoothly tomorrow.
- That the weather in Chiayi will remain favorable as we travel.
- That all team members will travel safely to their various destinations in Taiwan tomorrow and eventually return safely to the United States.
Photo of the Day: After serving together throughout the entire week, we finally gathered for a group photo of our entire STM team!
This is the final update for the 2026 Taiwan STM. Thank you for faithfully reading these updates and praying for us throughout the week. Through God's power and mercy, we have had the privilege of making an eternal impact in the lives of these students and their families. We are deeply grateful to have partnered with you in this ministry through your prayers.
Blessings,
Jenny
