­CHRIST'S MISSIONARY OUTREACH

 

I. Intercessors: Psalm 2:8

a. Hosting or leading an OMF prayer group.

b. Praying for a specific individual missionary/family.

c. Praying for an unreached people group.

d. Praying for a specific country or religious bloc.

 

2. Mobilizers: Numbers 10:1-2

a. Promoting missions in your local church.

b. Arranging for OMF speakers in the area.

c. Hosting an OMF BuddhistlAsia/China Awareness Seminar.

d. Working on a local OMF Action Team. (CaI1503-618-1959.)

e. Being a Campus Representative for OMF.

 

3. Senders: I Samuel 30:24

a. Giving to a specific missionary's support.

b. Giving to OMF field projects.

c. Giving to the General Fund for Asia.

d. Mobilizing support groups for missionaries.

 

4. Goers: Acts 1:8

a. Serve Asia -- short-term or summer.

b. Short-term Associate -- 1 to 3 years.

c. OMF Partners in Asia -- tentmaker laypeople.

d. Cross-cultural Missionary -- 4 or more years.

e. MK school teachers/staff.

f. Professional service member -- 4 or more years.

g. Teachers of English or foreign languages.

h. Other.

 

5. Encouragers: Acts 9:27

a. Communicating with your missionaries.

b. Sending care packages to missionaries.

c. Helping missionaries on Home Assignment

d. Strengthening appointees during deputation.

 

6. Foreign Welcomers: Leviticus 19:34

a. Meeting foreign students/immigrants on arrival.

b. Helping them settle in.

c. Familiarizing them with shops, driving, post office, etc.

d. Having them in the home (long or short time).

e. Bringing them to church activities.

f. Listening to hurts and concerns of immigrants.
